Ovaj čovjek me inspirirao. Nisam ja doživio neko obraćenje zbog njega, dugo se borim, ali on me uputio na ono pravo, ono bez čega ne možeš ići dalje.
NEKAD SE MORAŠ VRATITI NAZAD DA BI IŠAO DALJE!
Ono najdublje, istinu, korijene, kako se zove jedan album (Roots)njegova bivšeg benda, Sepulture(hrv. Grobnica).
Nisam ni ja donedavno imao visoko mišljenje o ovom stilu metala, pjevanja, konto sam neke budale, fejkeri, ali kada sam pročitao tekstove e onda je sve dobilo smisao.
Većina vjerovatno ne slušao nešto ovako, ali pokušajte zanemariti žestoku svirku, pa i nije tako žestoka!, koncetrirajte se na osjećaje, na ono što govori.

Nejmojte odmah pomisliti da sam ja neki njegov ludi fan, on je za mene strašan primjer pravog vjernika, više mi je pomogao nego ijedan svećenik do sada!
Što vi mislite o njemu? Možda se ovi, što misle da su vjernici uglavnom zatucani licemjeri, malo zamisle.

So I don't like the concept of Christianity in terms of being so close minded. It is the same with music. Sometimes I compare preachers to close minded musicians or close minded listeners, who only like one kind of music. Some preachers are the same. And they don't tolerate Hindus, Buddhists or whatever. Only them. It's bullshit. So Soulfly is not a Christian band at all. Very much opposite. But we are very spiritual. Spiritual has nothing to do with Christianity anyway. It has been here since the beginning of time.

Nemojte misliti da ću ja sada zbog njega pustiti kosu do poda, postati frontmen heavy metal benda. Bliže sam tome putu bio prije nego sam počeo slušati njega i njegov bivši, Sepulturu, i trenutni bend Soulfly. I on sam kaže da svatko mora naći svoju sudbinu. Ne dižem ja sada njega u nebesa, ne bih ni smio, on mi je samo ukazao na ono što je meni malo pobjeglo iz fokusa… ISTINU!

u interwievu na direktno pitanje: How much has religion played a part in your life?

Max odgovara vrlo laicki i nepotkovano: People from all over the world, people from all different cultures, spirituality…like the guy that believes in Buddha, and maybe the other guy believes in Jesus but they share the same common belief to God, which is the higher force.(krivo! budizam i krscanstvo nemaju nista zajednickog). So I kind of look at myself more of a spiritual, if there’s such a thing. It’s not a religion, you know, I guess there’s not a religion called “Spiritual.” You find spiritual people. But yeah, I think the little bit that has entered my life and I felt was rightfully to put on the songs. I felt strong enough to put it on the songs. But I don’t like when people confuse me with actually being religious.

I šta?? Ti misliš da on nije vjernik??? Koje je tvoje mišljenje o njemu, šta si time rekao!?
Šta je on, neki luđak??
Nisam baš znao o tome, valjda se obratio, to mi ništa ništa ne znači. To je pisao ranije, jebi ga čovjek je stvarno prošao kroz svašta.
Upoznat sam sa tekstovima od rootsa, pa nešto i sa chaos a.d., pa nadalja s ovim iz Soulflya, nigdje nisam našao greške! Mislim baš velike, ne mogu reći da sam u svemu 100% s njim ali strašan je!

Ma šta krivo!? budizam i kršćanstvo nemaju ništa zajedničko?? ja ne znam skoro ništa o budizmu ali i ono što sam načuo je jako slično kršćanstvu, naravno da ima velikih razlika, ali ima i razlika i u samom kršćanstvu!! pa i ja sam protiv religija, djeljenja... ja sam samo slučajno katolik, tu živim, ali kao prvo ja vjerujem u Boga i Isusa!!
Lofi ti si daleko od nekih shvaćanja a misliš da si ne znam ni ja šta...
pa ta izjava koju si stavio je super, potpuno se slažem s tom izjavom!

potpisivao si se s max possesed... to stvarno govori mnogo! I kod takvog čovjeka ti si si se uhvatio za njegovo zlo! koje je iza njega, uglavnom, ne može biti savršen.

Nemaš šane lofi, nisi u toku! max je na našoj strani!
A da misliš i osjećaš otprilike kao ja znao bi da je i na tvojoj!

nisam ja na nicijoj "strani". cavalera (a pogotovo mu brat bubnjar) je odlican i uspjesan glazbenik i pise ono sto mu padne napamet u kreativnom trenutnku bez da puno razmislja o tome tj. ako se uopce sjeti od silne gandje i alkohola.

to sto ti otvaras teme sa ovako bombasticnim naslovima stampanim slovima koje to je drugo.

mozda samo da zaljepis poster u sobi bilo bi dovoljno

glazba sluzi kao inspiracija i sto bi nietche rekao "bez glazbe zivot bi bio greska" tako da drago mi je da te maxova glazba inspirira ali zakljucci koje si ti izveo iz njegovih tekstova su presmjesni

covjek radi svoj posao. on je glazbenik. ocigledno svakim albumom prica drugu pricu i to je okej. no vec se potrosio i vrijeme mu je za mirovinu

ti kazes "ja sam samo slučajno katolik, tu živim, ali kao prvo ja vjerujem u Boga i Isusa!!" i to je sasvim dobar znak da ili si vrlo mlad (u tom slucaju isprike) ili fakat neznas sto pricas (u tom slucaju shuttuppaa buddy)

btw. i dalje stojim iza toga da max apsolutno nije "strašan primjer pravog vjernika" kao sto ti tvrdis (npr TigarZG1 bi ga teoloski razvalio u sekundi i rijecima i djelima i zivotom). ali nema veze zabavljaj se i plz cuvaj usi, kloni se droge i to ti je najozbiljniji savijet koji ti mogu uputiti u svezi ove blentave teme i heavy metal glazbe opcenito.
